Multicontinental mobilization can bypass global oligarchical control

Last week, while shaving in the reflection of my car door window in a hardware chain store parking lot again, a United States Marine rolled up near me and asked indirectly through his passenger window if I was one of them. At risk of disappointing one of our soldiers, I said that I was not a Marine in as upbeat of a tone as I could, asking if Marines shave in front of their Humvees. “It’s just a very Marine thing to do” he said without clarifying. Offering context, I said: “It’s because a grand uncle of mine used to shave outside in front of house windows and I wanted to see if it was possible. And then for necessity,” without explaining the necessity to a stranger, as opposed to global online strangers here.

The necessity is due to driving a relative to work and/or doctors earlier in the day than I am naturally constituted as a writer. Many writers are by nature, nocturnal creatures and I am one of them. In the interest of my relative’s road safety, I prioritize as much sleep as possible, sometimes down to the last available seconds without worrying about how I look while driving in the harsh late morning sun. My understanding is that this was actually a U.S. Strategic Air Command (1946-92) pilot thing to do.¹ Our Marine may have missed my initial electric shaver attack and only seen me touch-up shaving with my dry safety razor, knocking shave dust out against my back tire. Later, I recalled a song that we sang in our primary school choir about shipmates, perhaps Marines in part using rusty razors on ‘drunken sailors early in the morning” which maybe I resembled at first glance.²

Posts here since 2021 outline various aspects of the idea that the global populace can efficiently bypass the cumbersome, corrupt and illegitimate nation-state system (1648-present) to achieve existential goals for and by all humans from an outside-in orientation, achieved through positive-synergistic space exploration.³ Since 2005, two books of mine and a Ph.D. dissertation also explore this idea.⁴ My critique of global independent journalism, born of overwhelming admiration is that it can be unnecessarily defeatist. By stressing existential resistance, truth-revealing and spurring mass protest in a non-1960s information environment, novel and peaceful inside-around approaches beyond oppositional insider whistle blowing are being neglected.⁵

Bypass is the operative word. Conceptually, over-the-top violent revolution, valiant as it may or may not be is not necessary given that the global power minority is by definition, numerically inferior. Peacefully outflanking smarmy-conformist power brokers and their careerist underlings is a self-organizing principle that could be applied to multi-planetary transformation among eight billion humans going forward, a few of them likely to be Marines and not just from the U.S. Readers can decide if bypassing nation-state system power qualifies as a theory of change, thought model, another term associated with the post Cold War 1990s or something else – positively-directed multi-millennia suppressed all human rage perhaps.⁶ To my way of thinking, the basic idea for consideration here has precedent in recent cultural non-participation in the inherently hierarchical tradition of marriage known as Men Going Their Own Way (MGTOW).⁷ What other OWs are possible, emerging and/or currently sidestepping oligarchs who are always in the way of the all human endeavor, inclusive of themselves?

Future posts will examine related concepts, applicable to sustained positive-synergistic human space exploration such as monogamy without marriage (with traditional rings) and military TRICARE for all.⁸
